JhonRaeReeves Lakeview Behavioral Health

Boozhoo, my name is JhonRae, and I was born and raised in Duluth, Minn. I started my educational journey at Fond Du Lac Tribal and Community College obtaining my AA and Human Services degree. After, I went and pursued my bachelor's and master's in social work at The College of St. Scholastica. During my educational journey, I knew right away I was where I was meant to be. I found my passion is helping guide others in their own journey by utilizing mindfulness, being client-centered, and emphasiz ing curiosity in one's life story. I also am an advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community and participate in activities that uplift, educate, and support individuals, families, and communities in celebrating different identities. Some of my interests and hob bies are sewing, beading, dancing, and finding new art projects of all sorts. Also, playing card/board games is a must! I would like to share one of my favorite quotes: "Peace is this moment without judgment. That is all. This moment in the heart-space where everything is welcome." ~ Dorothy Hunt. JhonRae will be serving Sandstone and McGregor locations.

I work together with my clients to help them develop a better understanding of their histories, triggers, and patterns of behavior in order to get unstuck and create new endings to old stories, build coping strategies, and a capacity for resiliency in order to face stressors and fears that are blocking growth; learn to live authentically with what matters to them.
